Wait till closet auger grabs that shit. Raise flange and use a wax ring.

  • @gbehling23 2026-06-09

To all the comments praising wax… I can’t tell you how many wax rings I’ve pulled that have failed and now I’m replacing the subfloor .

  • @cbunnbuildingllc 2026-06-09

Carpenter here! Wax sucks! Always fails! Every toilet I’ve pulled to remodel the bathroom has had leakage at some point or currently seeping.

Flange is low and that rubber will 10000% pop when it floods and cause a huge mess while the wax ring stays strong

  • @triscits__ 2026-06-10

Flange looks like trash, like an inch below finished floor lmao

  • @bwork1ng 2026-06-09

Good luck with the call back when it backs up 😂 … idk why people just stick with basic plumbing all those things aren’t ideal

  • @fixitman093 2026-06-10

Would never use that...... for those complaining about wax, if installed correctly, will last forever!

  • @thatmillennialplumber 2026-06-10

Flange is waaay to low.. that's your problem, the soft hands are just a symptom of the lack of experience yall have.

  • @z.ach86 2026-06-10

Works great on a brand new out of the box toilet, im sure on a 15 year old used toilet a replacement wax ring will be used 😂. No one wants to flip an old toilet on its side and scrub that nasty old wax off the opening. Oh hell no!

Used one once when dealing with a cracked flange. It’ll be someone else’s problem someday.

Internal corrugations will interfere with water flow and catch, uh, “debris.”

  • @fusco648 2026-06-10

These Fernco seals are nice but the one negative is if you leave them on your truck all summer the glue where it seals against the toilet melts away.
