It doesn’t matter if it’s my Festool track saw or my Makita track saw whenever I replace the splinter guard it always curls up on one end within a day or two. This is my permanent fix for that. How to replace a splinter guard

Makita’s is the only one that doesn’t fall off.
100% Nitto brand strips through Makita never fall off, even hanging upside down in van or trailer during the summers in the Southeast. I like the wood idea though.

Very nice advice! But what i found was that makita tapes were much better if someone want to go the other route
In my own experiences I think I've narrowed down the causes being storage and transport, not the actual use of it. I haven't had that happen since I bought the festool case to store both of my track guides.

Before you put on the new splinter guard clean it real good with aceton
I ca glue each end and it stays on
? You still used tape. Never had an issue with my Festool rails.
That’s the problem with products that are just 💩copies of the original Festool track saw came out in 1980…..
You Move it across 3 times before it needs renewing that is value for money.
All it needs is a small piece of insulation tape over the end.
