In Brussels, around 4 years ago, they didn't wanna repair my battery and told me it's a motherboard problem so I have to buy a new phone. I went to an Afghan-owned repair shop, replaced the battery and went back to the Apple store screaming. In the end, they gave me a new phone. All the phone escalations, drama, wasted money to travel, invonvenience and stress should be compensated by injustices of Apple. @apple

This is useful, and it’s good to educate yourself before buying. But you assume that they will automatically lie to you at the Apple store. I understand the lack of trust toward almost every modern institution and business, but let’s not keep feeding the paranoid frenzy. Let’s just try to remain calm and rational before deciding that they’re (whoever “they” are) all out to get us.

Most computers have this, been around since the beginning of computing, diagnostics or log files, nothing dubious or bad or evil behind it, it helps support teams to help you

My junk iPhone 17 Pro can’t do normal texts or messages from things like banks where it sends you a message with a verification code. I had to get a second eSIM and phone number to be able to text my mom. Ever since the Verizon Outage thing and i was one of the 400,000 people who had their phone in SOS mode

It’s not hidden there’s even an app that gives you access to it directly
