GIVEAWAY + SOUTH AMERICAN CUISINE & CEVICHE BAR 🐠 In late 2021, @andescafehouston opened its doors in Downtown at @posthtx, bringing back the beloved South American fare, like the dishes Lomo Saltado (Peru), Camarones Encocados (Ecuador), and Churrasco al Plato (Argentina), offered at the first location in East End that closed in 2020. However, Andes Cafe came back with extra ~flair~ now offering a reservation-only ceviche bar. ✨
We had the pleasure of experiencing the ceviche bar and all its glory, and it was unforgettable! @chefdavidguerrero trained at one of the World's 50 Best Restaurants, Maido, which is a Peruvian restaurant with a Japanese twist, and now, he combines both Peruvian and Japanese techniques into his own carefully crafted ceviches. Our favorites of the evening were the Salmon Sashimi, Ceviche Tataki, and Tiradito Nikkei. However, everything we had was phenomenal, so definitely go with what you're eyeing on the menu. If you're new to South American ceviche, we recommend trying the Ceviche Mixto, which is representative of a more traditionally prepared Peruvian ceviche.
We cannot recommend Andes Cafe enough. Whether you're a ceviche connoisseur (like us 😜) or brand new to the concept, everyone MUST give this place a try!

DO NOT EAT HERE! I made reservations for four people on Saturday. It ended up being a whole bunch of little tiny restaurants in an old mall. No where to sit 4 people at a table, limited menu. We arrived with no place to sit because it was sooo tiny and the rest of my party did not want to eat there so I told the cashier that we changed our minds and they charged me $100 ($25 per person) for not eating there (even though I DID order a plate of food which was NOT that great…I would give it a 2/10).
They said that they would have to charge even though there was nobody waiting for any tables.
Three days later I’m still disputing the charge with no response or call back. Ridiculous! Never again!
