Legitimately the handiest tool I ever implemented as a rental property investor. @kwikset #rentalproperty #rentalpropertyinvestor #rentalpropertyinvesting #realestate #realestateinvestor #realestateinvesting #fixerupper #emilylopez #biggerpockets #investmentproperty #incomeproperty #makingmoney #savingmoney #changinglocks #tenantturnover #landlordtips #landlordlife #landlord #triplex #multifamilyinvestor #multifamilyinvesting #wyomingrealestate #entrepreneurship #bluecollar #dirtyhandscleanmoney

This is pretty cool. Appreciate the tip as a fellow investor landlord!
260.00 to Change a lock in Canada !! 🇨🇦
But could others just do that & change your locks, like if you had airbnb
Thanks
Cool
how do you get new keys just randomly ask the locksmith to design a set?
I love your big ass😢😢
What if someone buys one and resets your lock and takes over your house
So my first thought is, a new deadbolt is maybe $10, maybe $15 but probably not. So the $150 is ridiculous considering that. Next question is where do "new keys" come from? How much is the tool? Seems so much easier to just buy a new deadbolt.
It looks like now any key will fit in there
How safe is it? anyone can buy that quickset key and make a copy and get into your house I don’t think that’s safe enough
Really the concern isn’t for someone to pick the lock and break in because if they have the key to open the door and do this, they don’t need to be changing locks, they already have access. The concern is for the current tenant to change the lock and lock the landlord out but if they wanted to do that, they could do that with any lock and a locksmith.
Folks, you simply can’t rekey the lock unless you have the original key as it has to go in first and then turned 90 degrees. That’s when you use the tool to reset the tumblers, remove old key, insert new and turn thus rekeying the lock. Heads up, being a former maintenance technician who had used these locks for years, they can mess up. I’ve had residents say they locked the door when they left but returned and now the key won’t work. Even our key wouldn’t unlock the lock. I would end up having to drill the lock and install a new lock. I’ve also had the lock malfunction when trying to rekey it. They do make another tool that accepts the cylinder which is suppose to realign the gears(tumblers) but even a percentage of those failed. Should a homeowner use them, “no”. Landlords or property owners, “yes”. Even with the amount of defective locks over time, it’s still cost effective and saves time.
I got that tool where is the house. I'll be inside in 1 minutes. With my quickset😮
