Maybe a stupid question but is this used to smooth over painted and textured walls?

30min? .. I’ll use hot water 20 min mud and a fan I’ll have that 3 coated in 30 min

Been finishing drywall over 50 years and NEVER had to sand between coats

I would love to see 1st time mudders try it and get results that smooth. If so, I'll have all my people buying this stuff. Too good to believe no lines from beginners.

Probably has soap in the mix

If I need it real fast I'll use 20 or 5 lol
@brooks03.rc2025-02-19
Well that's not true at all. I will put on 2 coats of sheet rock 45 and a topcoat all in the same day. All you need is air flow to help speed up the drying time. And who sands in between coats? You only ever sand once and that's at the very end after top coat. 3 coats sand once with normal drywall compound. That's just for people that don't know how to actually mud and tape.

What about shrinking. Seems like you still have to coat it again the next day after all the water dries out
@therealunckekevy2025-02-16
We used to call that plaster.
@adamv19762025-02-16
You don’t have to sand in between so you have a speed bump on your wall.

@muddskipdrywalladditive Would you recommend this product for a full room skim coat? Would you adjust any of the mixture ratios? Same process as shown?
