Think your reflux is “silent”? It might be LPR.
Unlike classic acid reflux, laryngopharyngeal reflux (LPR) doesn’t always come with heartburn. Instead, it can show up as:
Chronic throat clearing
Postnasal drip
A sensation of a lump in your throat
Chronic cough
Hoarseness or voice changes
LPR can be easy to miss and hard to treat if you’re only focused on stomach acid. Research shows that digestive health, inflammation, and even the gut microbiome play a major role.
Want relief? It starts with understanding the root cause.

Nice! This can be part of what’s going on, but it’s not always just about stomach acid. For some people, reflux symptoms are linked to low vitamins or minerals, like zinc or vitamin B12. These nutrients help your stomach make and use acid the right way. When they’re low, digestion can slow down and symptoms can show up. That’s why it’s helpful to look at the whole picture.

Yes! This can also be a food allergy and candida. A lot of people are eating to many carbs and don't realize it.
