No, I read the bill. It’s not JUST ANYONE. The parent/parents MUST designate a person to be able to act as guardian in case the parents are unable to. This is in wake of what California is going through with ICE and immigration enforcement.

People read the bill do not believe everything people post. This bill actually gives parents some control over who gets to decide on medical or school decisions while they’re in jail or unable to. It doesn’t take away custody at all.

This video leaves out key facts. Parents still have to approve who can pick up their kid, the law just lets you add trusted friends or mentors, like an emergency contact. Without this, if no one shows up, schools may have to call CPS and the child ends up in government custody. The bill is about protecting kids, not handing them off to strangers. Don’t let far-right fearbait fool you.

Not in Transylvania. Here Only the parents pick up the kids, or the grandfather after multiple “face id” check ups and phone calls. Thank God I live in eastern Europe.
