I’m not into extreme detoxes, juicing, or most of that stuff, but I found a natural TOPICAL way to help flush out water retention and bloating. If you feel a bit bloated from enjoying life this summer, or just have your period (I can often bloat a cup size), and you’re hoping to still feel confident in your bathing suit, this essential oil concoction has helped me prepare for swimsuit and lingerie shoots over the years. THIS IS AN OIL BLEND TO USE IN YOUR BATH OR AS A MASSAGE OIL. THIS IS NOT FOR DRINKING BUT please be mindful to drink a lot of water to flush out your system and stay hydrated—it’s not a miracle worker, obviously, but it will help get rid of some excess water. ALWAYS TEST IT OUT ON A SMALL PATCH OF SKIN TO MAKE SURE YOU’RE NOT ALLERGIC. I find it works well when combined with a healthy diet (with some fun cheats) and regular workouts. But regardless—bloated or not—get in that bathing suit, jump in the water, and have fun, because summer is fleeting and life is short.
