    Do I like it? No

  • @remodelex_llc 2025-08-26

Why would someone want it done this way?

  • @kylel1986 2025-09-21

This wouldn’t meet fire code in my area. Walls and ceilings should have a basic fire barrier (typically drywall) to protect the wood framing.

Where do you run all of your electrical for rooms like this? Really cool idea and much easier to pin point Waterproofing’s issues down the road. I do a lot of additions and detatched structures and this would be sweet.

So this is how you save old tongue and groove ceilings in mid century remodels, by insulating in the roof side?

Neat video! Can you show his wiring/electrical details? How did he hide his wiring and what did is finish wiring look like?
    Thanks

Outstanding! Simple and clean. The base detailing to cover the electrical is also nicely detailed.

So it doesn’t need internal insulation because it doesn’t have drywall?

FYI: Tim would design a residential job with Monopoly Framing if you’re looking for an Architect

We love the ingenuity and celebration of structure and materials! 🙌

Which climate zone is this? I love the interior look actually. The exposed wood looks really good any treatments? I’m not sure about the look of the plywood but overall the space looks fantastic. What is the height of the top plate? I want to know if you’re using standard height doors. Nice job. 👍🏻

Insulated just like how we dress. Keep the bone warm! Reduced monthly heating/ cooling costs. Well done

  • @tandenlaunder 2025-08-26

What’s the R value of the insulation on the walls and roof?

  • @sircrushington 2026-04-25

Is that header/top plate detail notched into the 2x6 stud?

  • @leviferguson3 2026-01-03
