Here is part one of using an iMac as a monitor. We took apart the display and then it’s time for the internals. Once removed we will add the new pcb and use the adhesive to put it back together. Stay tuned! #apple #imac #macbook #applerepair #macbookpro #pcrepair #videography #photographer #editor #editingvideo

I’m so glad I found you. I was about to donate my two 27 iMacs because Apple told me there was no way to use them as monitors. Now I don’t have to buy more monitors... Instead, I can just buy the new Mac mini and connect to each of my monitors. Also, I didn’t feel great about just throwing these things away. Especially because they’re 5K!!!
Thanks for taking the time to explain and show each step so well!
Can I just sent you my iMac for you to do this?
Can’t wait to see it
We are going to have 30 posts but anyway 😂it starts to be interesting.
I was sad going from the 5k display to the 24” iMac - looking forward to the finished project! 👍
Last time I worked on one of those, it was a lot less scary to lay the display glass down on a soft cloth on a table and then life the body up off the screen, it meant the screen wasn’t being asked to bend away from the housing but rather the metal body away from the glass. But if what you did works it works 🫡
Nicely explained
Brilliant explanation
Will this be on a full length video someplace?
Love it 💪🏼 can you share a parts list of what we’ll need for this project?
I need to do this!
Gonna attempt this. What mac should I look to buy? Will it be same in uk?
