    Well hot damn.

I wouldn’t use a hardwood for the Handel in that orientation. You have short grain issues. If something required a lot of force or kicked. That Handel would break resulting most likely in a kickback😮

I love it. I make and fix my push sticks using your old method. My favorite push stick is made by laminating three pieces of mdf, the center providing the handle. It is bulky and offers the best control. It never wears down because I don't use it for sacrificial cuts. I often apply a coat of contact cement on the bottom to add grip.

I’ll try it. Why no roving knife /splitter on your saw? Just curious

Any chance you can share some plans? I think this is great but would be overwhelmed trying to reverse engineer it

If your handle is in the middle or on the other side you will have less chance of kickback

Nice! I have a micro jig, and I don’t use it very often because it’s too fiddly to set up. I was recently cutting lots of really thin strips and burned through my push sticks and need to cut some new ones. I may try your design and see how it works for me. Thanks for sharing!!

I love hearing your thought process, bc this all makes so much sense. Thanks for sharing!

Nice upgrade! I like the idea of changing only the sacrificial pieces and not doing again the whole pusher! Will reach you soon with an update!

Another good gadget for work safety is „Fritz und Franz“, it’s for different cuts but it’s additional to that one for sure. It’s recommended by the BG an german public institution of work safety. As a carpenter or joiner you can rely on such work gadgets for your own physical integrity and important to mention of others too. Especially many learning how to do so.

Thats pretty cool. I do the plywood shoe techniques. You know, a piece of plywood that looks like a shoe. Are tha sliding tails stopped at one end?

I think this is fantastic. I am constantly fighting with my micro jig and yes I cut through the plastic in the first week. And the sacrificial heal piece is awful and I smells bad when it contacts the hot saw blade yay for melting plastic.
