I was born in Fiesole, my whole family is from Fiesole both sides. Fiesole is an ancient village that existed way before Florence was founded by the Romans. Fiesole was an important Etruschi city. Btw back in the late 80’s till mid 90’s my father owned the reggia restaurant, basically I grew up there and yep the view is amazing.

Been here at the suggestion of the guy who owns the scooter rental shop in Florence. It is phenomenal.

Studied abroad in Florence and one of the best meals of my life was in Fiesole. It was out of a van in the park. Swordfish carpaccio was so delicious and the whole experience was sort of unreal.

My Alma mater Georgetown university has a villa in Fiesole and I studied and lived there for the spring semester. the first time I saw the view of florence with the duomo looming above the mist in the morning, I had to catch my breath. It was so beautiful and I realized why the Renaissance started there. I’ll never forget it.

Signore Paonessa, the legend of concierges at the Lucchesi recommended this restaurant years ago and thank goodness for that. We somehow found the one server with Greek heritage and chatted away during the evening. What a welcoming place that was. A culinary experience to remember, perfect service, I wish I was there to enjoy the view over Florence.

On my first trip to Italy, I stayed in Fiesole. The views of Florence were amazing. We had an apartment on the grounds of a castle. ( Castello di Vincigliata) Just beautiful.

I lived in Fiesole when I was a young woman. Not a day goes by—all these years later—that I don’t think about this glorious place.

I’ve been to this restaurant and I can wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone. It truly is a hidden gem. Last year, my family and I spent Christmas there, and the atmosphere was absolutely wonderful. The ambience was warm and elegant, the cuisine was outstanding, and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. We were so impressed that we are genuinely planning to spend Christmas at La Regia every year from now on. Thank you for the dedication and passion you put into promoting this restaurant — it truly deserves it.
