Buying any passport or official document in exchange for money — regardless of the amount — is never a good idea. State documents are expressions of sovereignty, not commercial products.

Diplomatic passports are issued exclusively by sovereign states to individuals officially appointed to perform diplomatic or consular functions. They are not assets for sale, nor shortcuts to privilege.

It is true that distinguished individuals with strong academic, economic, or professional backgrounds may be appointed as Honorary Consuls, Advisors, or diplomatic representatives. However:

    • Not all Honorary Consuls receive diplomatic passports.
    • Not all diplomatic representatives enjoy full immunity.
    • Diplomatic passports are usually issued for limited periods, depending on national legislation.
    • Diplomatic immunity applies strictly within the scope of official duties — never for private travel, personal business, or commercial advantage.

Diplomacy is a responsibility, not a commodity. It is entrusted to individuals who can genuinely contribute to bilateral relations, economic cooperation, cultural exchange, and institutional dialogue between nations.

True diplomacy works in two directions. It is about building trust, strengthening partnerships, promoting development, and representing a country with integrity and professionalism.

Encouraging people to “buy” diplomatic titles or passports undermines international law, damages credibility, and fuels corruption. Diplomatic recognition must be earned through service, merit, and lawful appointment — never through payment.

Immunity exists to allow diplomats to perform their functions independently and effectively — not to create personal privilege.

Diplomacy is service to the State. Not a transaction.

As someone who actually has a diplomatic passport most of the things said in this video aren't true. Your bags still get searched at airports and most airports don't have a diplomat lane. And for the plates part every consulate or embassy has an approved number of vehicles that can get diplomatic plates and the vehicles all have to either be in posession of the consulate or one of the diplomats.
