I experienced identity theft 9 years ago that was caught by one of the companies they were trying to open a credit line for. Because that happened, they now have to call me anytime I open a line of credit to verify it's me. That's exactly how it should be. All the time.

He is 100% right, your credit will still grow or shrink while frozen like it would if it was unfrozen, freezing just prevents anyone but YOU from fucking up your life

Unless something has changed Experian app does not have a way to freeze/unfreeze your account unless you pay for their premium service ~$20/month. The other two can be done via their app.

For those who think it costs money, I can assure you that it’s free. Make sure you’re clicking the bureaus official website and do not click anything that’s trying to upsell you. It’s called a “freeze”, not a “lock”.

What if I had video recorded phone calls while having my credit report pulled up calling the creditors on my credit report, reporting to my credit as collections and charge-offs and can show that they are actively intentionally preventing you from fixing your credit. People like Verizon, xfinity.\n What if I could prove that they'll charge you fees after you close accounts charge it to your credit. And then when you try to call and get it taken care of they just switch you around 67 times keep you on the phone for 3 hours, give you phone numbers to call after that that literally do not exist and are fake, what if I had those videos? What?\n If I had a video showing a creditor reporting to my credit and me, calling entering my information and the recording telling me that they do not possess this account anymore. It has been sent to a third party agency, but yet they are reporting to my credit. Not the third party agency, but yet will not take my phone call. Anymore, let's be clear on that they won't accept my phone call anymore. And will not remove it. What if I could show let these companies actively are working with the scammers , and these call centers

  • @ministerbeebettaadvisor 2026-03-17

I’ve had mine frozen since 2005 after listening to the recommendation from Clark Howard. Seems like I get a letter at least once a year from some stupid company about a data breach. 🙄
