How is no one talking about this new French restaurant yet?? 👀
@restaurantfrancois opened at the end of 2025 and it already feels like one of those spots you want to keep in your rotation!
Right in downtown, super chic, low lighting, white tablecloths… it’s perfect for a romantic date night, but also just as good for a long dinner with wine or a night out with friends!
we ordered:
– comté cheese popovers (you have to get these)
– lobster angel hair
– wagyu short rib bourguignon
– chocolate mousse
Everything was so well done, but the popovers and short rib were standouts!

IMHO 🫤 great vibe and service but somewhat disappointing food flavors across dishes. The short ribs were the outstanding item of the night. Dover sole was terrible and bad fish selection for the price. The escargot lacked flavor - parsley, garlic…it’s a wonderful date night spot but I think austin is still waiting for its star French brasserie
French??? Where’s the coq au vin?? This is a steak house with a French salad and French words not a French restaurant
Honestly, my favorite restaurant in austin
We have definitely been talking about it! We’ve already been 4 times since it opened and can’t wait to go back. It’s so good 👏
It’s the best! We are there at least once a week … get in here friends🥂
We absolutely are taking about it! And love it. 🐌 🥂 @ckrosley let’s ❤️
It’s fantastic!! best french onion soup ever!!!
I’ll be right over✨
Absolute terrible food we had here. $130 steak and it was terrible not flavor at all, they must have forgot salt and butter and they did not cook it right.
