Is the economy rigged? I tested it with a coin flip.
Give 500 people the exact same money. Two random people meet, flip a fair coin, the winner takes a little. No skill. No cheating. Every single trade is 100% fair. Run it ~10,000 times and… the top 1%
ends up owning almost everything.
It's a real result — economists call it the "yard-sale model." Inequality didn't need greed or corruption. It emerged from perfectly fair rules.
So if fair rules still end with one person owning it all… is the game actually fair? 👇
Drop your take. Comment "RIGGED" and I'll send you the Python to run it yourself.

This assumes the economy is zero sum when it isn't. Every trade is mutually beneficial or else it wouldn't go through
The premises are absolutely wrong. Never in the history a group of people started with the same amount of money
Economy isn’t zero sum
Ai slop 😭
This implies there is a fixed amount of value available and that every trade involves a "winner" and "loser". In reality individuals create value whether through business or a job and then voluntarily trade that value with others for different forms of value. While there are scammers and Conartists most "rich" people in America are people who are really good at creating value or organizing institutions that create value. That's why our economy "grows". Capitalism is just freedom
This has no control for anything. Its made up.
The Kinetic exchange model is the heart pf Econophysics. Its a beautiful concept that tries to unite economics and physics
A free market economy wouldn't work if everybody was financially similar.
Wrong. You only exchange the minimum(wi,wj). So the rich will never lose much money, the poor will never win much money. The accumulation of wealth doesn't emerge, it was in the rules from the beginning.
